YOUR FIT, YOUR FEET & YOUR FEEL!!
Every customer that enters Howe2Run to purchase shoes will be put thru a FREE SPECIALTY FIT PROCESS. As explained below this fit process will be very in depth and will concentrate on having the customer leave with the shoe that fits, feels and will work correctly for their needs. At Howe2Run, we do not push brands! At Howe2Run, we do not answer "what is the best shoe, or what shoe do you recommend?" We fit the customer, so they can answer those questions for their fit and feel. |
STEP 1Our FREE, SPECIALIZED fit process is a way for us to analyze our customer's strengths and weaknesses to then properly choose the correct footwear.
It will also allow our fit specialist to identify areas that the customer may need to strengthen, stretch, roll and in some cases heal. We will begin by identifying how the customer will be using the shoe. We carry an array of footwear options that can be used for walking, running, gym and everyday lifestyle wear. Once we identify what the customer will be doing in the shoe, we will then begin by assessing things such foot shape and arch. |
STEP 2Our Fit specialist will then have the customer conduct a few bodyweight moves for assessment.
1 - One legged squat with lifted foot pointed towards the glutes. - Assessing overall leg strength. - Assessing glute, quad and hamstring strength. - Assessing hip strength & mobility. - Assessing core strength as the customer squats. 2 - One legged balance with foot rotation. - Assessing strength and tightness of the calves. - Assessing strength and tightness of the soleus muscle. - Assessing strength and tightness of the achilles. 3 - Two legged squat with feet and heels planted firmly on ground. Assessing hip, glute, hamstring, core strength & flexibility. |
STEP 3Once our fit specialist chooses 3 shoes for the customer to assess, the customer will first walk in the shoe to get the feel. Our specialist will analyze the customer as they walk, asking various questions regarding cushioning, arch, toe space room, and overall feel. Our specialist will also be analyzing and checking for any pronation and supination while the customer is walking.
Once the customer has the feel, we will then put the, on the treadmill for further analysis. While the customer is on the treadmill, our specialist will be analyzing form, gait, foot strike, arm placement and swing, body lean, and looseness thru the quads, glutes and hamstrings. |
